NSB has over 6,000 participants
(including players, officials, representative players and school girls)
Taking in several Local Government Areas including
Nth Sydney, Mosman, Pennant Hills, Hornsby, Ku-ring-gai, Lane Cove, Willoughby & the Beaches from Manly through to Palmy.
This Not-for-Profit Association’s primary objectives are to
Protect and Promote the interests of hockey
across the north shore and beaches corridor of Sydney.
Welcome anyone to help our volunteer commitees in this endeavour.
NSB features 14 hockey clubs; with access to the Turf Fields at
Pennant Hills & Ku-ring-gai Hockey Centres, Sydney Academy of Sport, Narrabeen Grass fields at Frank Gray Oval, Curl Curl and Forsyth Park Neutral Bay and the Indoor hockey facilities at the Marie Bashir Mosman Sports Centre, Willoughby Leisure Centre, Sydney Academy of Sport, Narrabeen and Abbotsleigh,Wahroongah.
NSBHA is one of six hockey associations in the Greater Sydney region. These Associations select players from their clubs to represent the Association at the NSW State Championships.
NSBHA provides opportunities for all ages and abilities to play and enjoy the game of hockey both indoor and outdoor. It caters for Junior Boys and Girls, Senior Women and Men, as well as Masters
To help with planning we have a calendar* for each age group.
*These dates and venues are draft and may be subject to change.
Changes to age groups
In 2026 the age groups for representative hockey are listed below. NSB will consider nominations for players younger than these age groups based on their ability and readiness. This will be at NSB discretion.
Under 12 – Born 2014 and 2015
Under 14 – Born 2012 and 2013
Under 16 – Born 2010 and 2011
Under 18 – Born 2008 and 2009
Open – Men and Women
REMINDER: Representative players and families are responsible for organising their own accommodation and travel arrangements for championships. Please ensure you have arrangements in place early to avoid disappointment. Read More

Indoor Rep Trials – Team Training Sessions – Greater Sydney Cup and Indoor State Championship Events
Training, local tournaments and trials take place at
Narrabeen Sport & Recreation Willoughby Recreation and also Marie Bashir Mosman
