WELCOME TO THE LARGEST HOCKEY ASSOCIATION IN NSW

The NSB Hockey Association covers an area of 850 square kilometres taking in several Local Government Areas including North Sydney, Mosman, Hornsby, Ku-ring-gai, Willoughby, Lane Cove and the Northern Beaches stretching from Manly through to Palm Beach. The Association's primary objectives are to protect and promote the interests of hockey across the north shore and beaches corridor of Sydney.

NSB has over 5,500 participants (including players, officials, representative players and school girls), and features 13 hockey clubs. The Association has access to the Ku-ring-gai Hockey Centre, the half field at Sydney Academy of Sport, Narrabeen, the grass fields at Frank Gray Oval, Curl Curl and Forsyth Park Neutral Bay and the indoor hockey facilities at the Marie Bashir Mosman Sports Centre, Willoughby Leisure Centre, Sydney Academy of Sport, Narrabeen and at Abbotsleigh, Wahroongah.

  • NSBHA is one of six hockey associations in the Greater Sydney region. These Associations select players from their clubs to represent the Association at the NSW State Championships.
  • NSBHA provides opportunities for all ages and abilities to play and enjoy the game of hockey both indoor and outdoor.
  • It caters for junior boys and girls, senior women and men, masters and representative players.

Coach/Selector nominations are sought for the 2024 Rep Season
Polytan Asia Pacific Pty Ltd were awarded the contract for the major upgrade of the hockey pitch at Ku-ring-gai High School, North Turramurra.   Works commenced on 31 July 2023.   It is exciting to see some action at long last! · Read more
NSBHA has managed to secure two small spaces at the Sydney Academy of Sport, Narrabeen – a ¼ pitch and ½ pitch. The ¼ pitch has been in operation since January and is proving an incredibly valuable resource for the local hockey community.  · Read more
This 30-year-old pitch will finally get the upgrade it deserves!  The funding is in place with a $2.72million grant from the NSW Office of Sport. NSBHA is currently working with the Education Department on the tender (due to close after Easter) and hopes to appoint a contractor by the end of April with construction happening sometime in May/June (subject to weather and availability of materials).  This is incredibly exciting! · Read more
